Khun Jaroon (Filter Coffee)
For over fifty years, P’ Jaroon’s family had cultivated wild Assam tea for miang in his village of Khun Lao on the border of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Jaroon proudly followed in their footsteps, but as the grueling physical demands of tea farming outpaced the financial returns, he knew he needed a change to secure his children's education. Driven by a need for stability, Jaroon transitioned his fields to forest-grown coffee. What started as an economic lifeline quickly became a personal passion. Today, he is a self-proclaimed quality-driven person who refuses to cut corners. He pours his heart into every detail, personally managing all, from planting the seeds to overseeing the final processing. Now coffee is the stable foundation upon which his family is building their future, one carefully tended crop at a time.
